I'm Ewan, a one-person freelance operation based in York, UK, offering web development and PC repair for individuals and small businesses.
The work
ElmTech covers two things: building software, and fixing hardware. On the web side, that means anything from a simple landing page to a custom web application, built properly with real code, not page builders. On the repair side, it means diagnosing and fixing computers: slow machines, broken installs, viruses, hardware upgrades, and more.
Both tracks share the same approach: straightforward, honest, and without the runaround. You'll always know what something costs before any work starts.
The name
ElmTech. The logo says it better than words can. An elm tree above ground, roots below transitioning into PCB traces. Natural and technical, in the same breath. The name stuck because it fits: grounded, clear, and built to last.
Based in York, UK. Happy to work remotely on web projects, or in-person for repairs in the York area.
